By 2000 the company had three distinct business streams, each having its own clients and activities. With a high reputation for quality service coupled with a loyal customer base and a high safety culture to maintain, the directors decided to form two wholly owned subsidiary companies and then to split the business streams three ways.
Today Clayton Project Engineering Limited and Clayton M&E Services Limited have been formed and the split has been successfully completed and the objectives achieved.
Clayton & Co (Penistone) Limited continues to supply the two subsidiary companies with financial, legal and management services and the manufacture of the “Certainty” range of warning signals.
The managing directors of the two subsidiary companies also serve on the board of Clayton & Co (Penistone) Limited and these directors hold 80% of the shares.
