Case Study 1: Main Water Filter for Holiday Town
Clayton Reference CL 3448
Site The main water filter works for a holiday town having 10 gravity filters.
Objective The site was built in the early fifties and many of the gate valves were worn and leaking. The client required that all the valves be replaced with new electric operated valves and a new intelligent control system be installed to provide full automation including a back washing system.
Solution We replaced all the old valves with new wafer pattern butterfly valves complete with quarter turn electric actuators. We designed and manufactured a new PLC controlled control and instrumentation panel and installed this on site including installing of new level and flow controls, new cabling and the writing of the PLC program.
Notes The scheme was delivered on time, within budget and with no interruption to the water supply.
