Project Engineering
Our project team of Electrical and Mechanical Design/Project Engineers deal
with contracts small and large, of all types either directly for water companies
or indirectly working alongside civil contractors or consultants.
This encompasses all aspects of M&E work.
• Actuated valves and penstock systems
• Pumping systems (submersible, vertical multistage, air scour pumps etc.)
• Tipping buckets
• Associated valves and pipework (materials include ductile iron up to
900mm nominal bore, ABS, UPVC, MAPE, steel and stainless steel)
• Flowmeters (electromagnetic, air etc.)
• Instrumentation (flow, level, pressure etc.)
• Cabling – NICEIC approved on installation
• Dosing systems
• Open flooring and hand railing
• Mixers and macerator systems
• Control panels
• GRP kiosks
• Pumps and pumping station refurbishment
• Electrical & Mechanical works
• Gearbox provision repair and refurbishment
• Maintenance contracts – repair response and planned maintenance regimes
• Labour only contracts for “peak lopping” and shut downs
All work is carried out in line with the latest customer specifications and to the current WIMES documentation. All drawings, GA detail and "as built", are provided using state of the art CAD technology, copies of which are provided to clients in all specified sizes and in electronic format.
All installation work is undertaken by our own installation engineers, who are fully trained in both mechanical and electrical disciplines, and who are under the direct control of our own project engineers – thus alleviating potential problems with using sub-contractors.
Fully detailed method statements and risk assessment documentation is made available for inspection/approval prior to any engineer attending site to undertake any task.
Full commissioning and training documentation alongside O&M manuals prior to system hand over are also available. On-site training seminars of operation and maintenance personnel are also catered for.
